What is The Best of MOUG? It contains Library of Congress Name Authority File records for C.P.E. Bach, J.S. Bach, Beethoven, Boccherini, Brahms, Clementi, Handel, Haydn, Mozart, Schubert, Schumann, Telemann and Vivaldi. There are also lists arranged by thematic number for Bach, Handel, Mozart, Schubert, Telemann and Vivaldi (F. and RV).

It also contains English cross references for Bartok, Dvorak, Glazunov, Gliere, Glinka, Grechaninov, Janacek, Kodaly, Martinu, Mussorgsky, Prokofiev, Rachmaninoff, Rimsky-Korsakov, Shostakovich, Smetana, Stravinsky and Tchaikovsky. Each list includes uniform titles and corresponding authority record control numbers. The Best of MOUG is an excellent tool for catalogers and public service librarians because it can be kept at a desk, card catalog or online terminal for quick access to uniform titles for the composers that are the most difficult to search online.
